Un Trip will be screening in San Marcos with our friends at the Lost River Film Fest on October 14th at 7 pm. For a 7th year, Lost River Film Fest returns to Hays County from Oct 12-15, 2023 with a robust offering of new, independent cinema – culled from across the planet –WITH ADJACENT EVENTS THROUGHOUT DOWNTOWN SAN MARCOS, TEXAS! The Lost River Film Fest is part of Mano Amiga in San Marcos whose mission is to organize for systemic & cultural change around issues of criminalization and immigration.
There will be three screenings in total. Anne and Laura will be there for Q&A at all three. Given generous underwriting by The Summerlee Foundation, all three screenings of raúlrsalinas & the poetry of liberation: Un Trip are free to the community. Simply use the password “LA LOMA.”

On Sat, Oct 14 at 7PM in San Marcos at Price Center, Un Trip will screen as part of the Poetry Night hosted by Infrarrealista Review, with poetry by filmmaker Silvia del Carmen Castanos (whose Laredo borderland portrait HUMMINGBIRDS won in Berlin this year & played at Sundance) & others;. The whole afternoon & evening is comprised of screenings of social-justice/criminal-justice/immigration documentaries.
Saturday, November 4 at 8 PM in Seguin at the palace theater with performances by Santiago Jimenez Jr!
Sunday, November 5 at noon in Lockhart at the gaslight Baker theater, which coincides with the launch of a marijuana, ballot initiative.
